It’s Friday, Sept. 18, 2026: New taxes, budget updates, and big master plans. And still, this week seems tame compared to last week. West Chester residents face a tax increase next year, but for most it will likely result in a few dollars saved. The Borough presents its plan for replacing the funding lost by the repeal of the Stream Protection Fee and provides a handy tool to see how much you’ll owe under the new proposal. I have the direct link to save you the trouble of hunting it down online.
Plus, West Chester gave the thumbs up to West Chester University’s Master Plan – with conditions; Lambert Park gets preliminary funding for a big skate upgrade, we speak to those who skate to get their thoughts on the project, and a moving event is planned for Saturday night at Saints Simon and Jude Parish. “Words do not do it justice; you have to feel it,” says volunteer Kim McDonald.
Ok, now, who’s ready? Let’s catch up.
