It’s Friday, Aug. 21, 2026: Happy Friday! Did you miss me? It’s always nice to take a break – and it’s nice to come back knowing you’re needed. Lots to catch up on this week’s West Chester news roundup. West Chester passes preliminary plans for 42 townhomes. Borough Council gives itself a raise and settles on a definition for “truck.” That’s more important than you’d think. West Goshen settles on a trash provider, and Westtown takes the first step in setting up the Crebilly Preserve. Plus, there’s a new store coming to 16 E. Gay St. After two failed concepts, I think this one has promise. West Chester University gets the Borough’s thoughts on its master plan and welcomes more than 3,000 new students. Better watch those numbers, or we could start this whole thing all over again.
