The smell of fresh baked bread: Saturday La Baguette Magique is opening their kitchen from 9-2 so you can watch exactly how they make all that delicious bread.

Summer reading lists: Curious about what high school seniors (and underclassmen) are reading these days? (We read Catcher in the Rye, and Barbara Kingsolver’s the Bean Trees – still some of my favorite reads.) The public library has the area school’s summer reading lists posted. Maybe you’ll find some interesting recommendations for your own summer reading list?

5 years of yum: Yori’s Bakery on Church Street is celebrating five years in the borough with 5 cupcakes for $5. You have until the end of June to help them mark the occasion. P.S. Today is the day it all began so buy something today and they’ll throw in a free donut!

Movie night (and you don’t have to leave the borough): Uptown Entertainment Alliance at the new Knauer Performing Arts Center (226 N. High St.) is showing classics on the big screen each Monday this summer at 7 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Coming up the next three Mondays – Wait Until Dark, Up and Rebecca.

(Plus, a great excuse to check out the new theater. I’ve heard good things!)

Enjoy the weekend, West Chester!
