Horace Pippen Park
Vibe: This modest park is located a block away from Everhart Park. Perhaps due to its proximity to its larger and better funded neighbor, Horace Pippen has the feel of a lonely park whose children have all grown up and moved away.
Fun fact: This park is named for noted West Chester-native, Horace Pippen a self-taught painter known for his portrayals of contemporary African-American life in post-WWI America.
Key features: Small playground area, open field, basketball hoop and backstop.
Events: None (that I could find.)
Location: In the borough on the corner of W. Market and N. Everhart St.
Have an idea to make Horace Pippen (maybe a dog park?) or any of the West Chester parks better? Check out how this post on how to get involved.
