Last Friday, a swanky new French restaurant opened on Gay St.
Jolene’s, the latest endeavor from 3 West Hospitality, is “elevated, a little indulgent, and undeniably sexy.” The menu is modern with a classic French influence. Think French onion soup and escargot, next to filet mignon and dry-aged duck breast. If you get a chance, the oysters are delicious as is the bouillabaisse.

Art sourced from a Paris flea market and low lights adds to the sensual, hidden gem, vibe.
The restaurant, which features a curated wine program and full bar, is decorated with a selection of original art pieces on loan from art collector Peter Mavides. Impressionist and modern most were completed during the mid-twentieth century add to sensual vibe. You almost expect to see couples tucked into corners, but like most tightly-tabled West Chester restaurants there’s not a whole lot of room for tucking – or elbows.

Cafe tables and tufted leather banquet seating can accommodate up to 130 guests, although don’t expect full capacity until this newly opened restaurant gets its footing solidly under it. Limited reservations are open now to email list subscribers.

Jolene’s, 29 E. Gay St., West Chester, PA
Parking is available in the garage directly behind the restaurant, car entrance off Walnut Street and Gay Street. Bar seating is not reserved. For dining room tables, reservations are recommended.
