Already over the sugar rush? Here are some places collecting unwanted (and unopened) Halloween candy. Quick forewarning, this list is a little light compared to last year. If you know of anyone else collecting, let me know and I will add them to the list.

What to do with all that left over Halloween candy
Ideas to get that candy out of the house.

Halloween Candy Drop Off Locations in West Chester:

West Chester Area Elementary Schools

Find your nearest West Chester elementary school. Word is they are all collecting.

West Chester YMCA
605 Airport Rd.
West Chester PA

The YMCA was a collection site last year, and when I talked to them they presumed they would be again. That said they had no collection box set up when I talked to them, so double check before you haul all your candy over.

Time to Leap
533 E. Gay St.
West Chester PA

Time to Leap dance center in the Gay Street Plaza Shopping Center will be collecting Halloween candy between November 4th through the 9th. All candy donations will be sent to the troops.

Halloween Candy Buy Back Programs:

Briglia Dental Group
600 E. Marshall Street Ste. 201
West Chester PA

Briglia Dental Group is hosting their 9th annual Halloween Candy Buy Back program. Dr. Ron Briglia will purchase the unopened candy for a $1/pound up to five pounds. Must be 14 or under to participate in the buy back program. You can, of course, opt to simply donate the candy. Donations are welcome from all ages. All donations will be sent to the Stockings for Soldiers program in Delaware. Since 2010 Briglia and team have collected more than 18,000 lbs of candy for the troops.

Monkey Fish Toys
662 Downingtown Pike
West Chester PA

Monkey Fish Toys is offering a chance at a $50 gift certificate if you bring your unwanted candy to their West Chester location. The candy will be sent to troops via Soldiers’ Angels. Candy accepted through November 3.

Know of any other locations collecting candy? Leave them in the comments and I’ll update the list.

Plus, check out West Chester’s new walking trail. It’s a great way to work off those candy calories and learn a little something about the town.
