I’m not going to lie, this week has been kind of ugly. There’s been armed-robberies and racial comments, resignations and more street closures. However, West Chester’s trees got some good news, more improvements are on their way to downtown and school starts Monday, so it’s not all bad. Let’s see what’s happened.
Last week seemed so quiet and this week, wham, we are back. West Chester Police Department wants body cameras, changes to the tree ordinance (if you have a big tree, pay attention.) The fully functioning window trend is catching on with downtown bars. Plus, good deeds, warnings, and we say goodbye to a West Chester fixture. Grab some caffeine and let’s get going.
WCASD gets ready for school while, a couple big name businesses get ready to close. New health department violations (one local eatery racked up more citations than the prison), more awards for Andiario and have you seen Mud Row yet? Grab an iced tea, it’s August. Let’s Go.
This week – progress updates on 44 West, more road detours and what you need to know about an attempted kidnapping in the Borough. Plus, some good beer news, new honors for West Chester high schools and the French bakery is coming back! Who’s ready to begin?
Hot, hot, heated week. West Chester passed a plastic ban to mixed emotions and possible legal action, Teva-expands its West Chester presence and a big win for affordable housing. Plus, the Turk’s Head Music festival. Ready? Let’s get started.
Welcome to the weekend. Rain is gone for now. Development updates this week on the Daily Local site, the Agway site and a first look at what’s planned for Rubenstein’s. Also, what to do if you see a spotted latternfly and borough officials give up the bottled water. Grab your stainless steel reusable water bottle and let’s get started.
Even when it seems every last person is out of town, there is still a lot going on. This week we recap the crazy storm, see what’s happening with West Chester’s plastic bag ban, and reveal more scary health code violations, including our favorite sushi place. [Insert sad face.] Grab the last of the red, white and blue M&Ms and let’s get started.
Rain, rain go away, come again mid-July. This week we’re talking flooding, movie making and superstars to be. Read while sampling your 2 oz. of beer.
Graduation is in the books, a busy week for West Chester firefighters, the beer economy and West Chester’s street artist gets caught. Ready? Let’s go.
This week we get an update on the Mosteller project and the repaving of Gay St. Plus, property taxes are increasing, the borough’s new pet-centric event and what to do about all those late-night fireworks? Summer is here. Grab a lemonade, it’s time to get started.
