I’m not going to lie, this week has been kind of ugly. There’s been armed-robberies and racial comments, resignations and more street closures. However, West Chester’s trees got some good news, more improvements are on their way to downtown and school starts Monday, so it’s not all bad. Let’s see what’s happened.
Welcome to the weekend. Rain is gone for now. Development updates this week on the Daily Local site, the Agway site and a first look at what’s planned for Rubenstein’s. Also, what to do if you see a spotted latternfly and borough officials give up the bottled water. Grab your stainless steel reusable water bottle and let’s get started.
We recently got back from a week down at the beach and one of the things I noticed, other than the pre-fourth crowds were blessedly light, was all our drinks came with paper straws. Which got me wondering, what’s happening with West Chester’s single-use plastic ban? Turns out quite a bit.
Even when it seems every last person is out of town, there is still a lot going on. This week we recap the crazy storm, see what’s happening with West Chester’s plastic bag ban, and reveal more scary health code violations, including our favorite sushi place. [Insert sad face.] Grab the last of the red, white and blue M&Ms and let’s get started.
Graduation is in the books, a busy week for West Chester firefighters, the beer economy and West Chester’s street artist gets caught. Ready? Let’s go.
The summer job outlook, a new green initiative, and an awesome aerial video of the borough, plus the best place to get crabs for your Memorial Day cookout. Summer is unofficially here. Soak it all in perhaps, with a drink with an umbrella in it.
I’m going to admit something. Until rather recently, I had no idea who my local representative was – and I should. So in honor of the upcoming primaries, I have created a cheat sheet. I broke down all seven Borough wards and their representatives with pictures… and a map.
There was a lot of really good this week and one pretty bad. Plus, the meaning behind those blue ribbons, are we ruining sports for our kids? And want to spend 24-hours a day in a house with your neighbor? Big Brother casting agents are in town. There’s a lot to discuss. Let’s get started.
It’s Friday, February 22. PA is celebrating highway safety week, maybe a good time to make sure what you’re driving on is actually a road? I’m looking at you, Amazon. Plus, crime is down in the borough, way down. Here’s what people are talking about this week.
It’s Friday, February 8, Welcome to the year of the pig – plus, the mayor wants to meet you, while the weather continues to baffle. Come on, let’s see what people are talking about this week.
