When you walk in the doors of Mayday coffee – you are greeted by a lot of white, beige, and peach. On your left is a mini-shop stocked with curated gifts. Behind that, the espresso bar and pour-over coffee area. In the back, is an event space that will be available to rent. Anyway, maybe it’s the peach but it doesn’t exactly feel like West Chester which, I am to learn, is the point.

When it comes to coffee shops I have a test. Can they make a cappuccino. Just a plain, regular ol’ cappuccino. Shot of espresso, steamed milk, maybe a dash of cocoa powder, or cinnamon. Bonus points if you can make one of those little pictures in the foam.
