Also, the juice dispensers, floors in the main kitchen, walls below the dishwasher, and wheels of the cooking equipment all needed a good cleaning.
Tellboone Group at the Northbrook Marketplace, out, 7 violations, including creamers found at 45℉ rather than 41℉ as required, prepackaged foods not clearly marked as to when they were made, and the upstairs floors and walls and the fans in the grab-and-go deli case all needed to be cleaned.
Michi Sushi, 909 Paoli Pike, out, 8 violations, including employees storing personal items in the food prep areas and paper towels being used to line pans, including for raw fish. “Discontinue this practice and only use non-absorbent materials to contact food,” the report reads. There were also a litany of cleaning tasks such as all cutting boards, utensils, bulk food storage containers, sinks, steel racks, interior and exterior of the refrigerator, and the floors and walls in the kitchen and sushi station.
Benny’s Classic Pizza, 114 N. Church St., out, 9 violations, including sliced cheese and onion held at 45℉ and 46℉, respectively, rather than 41℉ as required. Also, squeeze bottles on the cookline were not labeled, the sanitizing solution was weak, the hand wash sink was blocked by a pot, and the basement ice machine and can opener required a thorough cleaning.
