News and views from the Borough. Here’s what we’re talking about this week:
New Tax Code for the New Year. Despite protests by constituents the Republican tax bill passed both the House and Senate last week with support from all local Republican Congressmen. West Chester Rep. Ryan Costello defends his vote to the Daily Local.
Take a Bus from West Chester to NYC. Starting last week. The Daily Local reports buses will run twice a day, seven days a week leaving from the corner of the High and Chestnut Streets.
Borough Services Have Moved. Reminder you have to pay those parking tickets (and attend to all other Borough services) at the Spellman Building – 829 Paoli Pike. The move is temporary while the current building is being renovated. Services are expected to return to the Gay Street location by 2019. Also, on the move – the West Chester Chamber of Commerce. Visit them at their new location: 137 N. High St. They are located on the first floor.
ACT Make Up Scheduled for January 6. West Chester Area School District has announced the recently cancelled college prep exam has been rescheduled. College hopefuls can use the break to squeeze in a little extra studying.
